I'm not sure who's going to win in November, but I do know Joe Soptic is a fucking lying shill, and a despicable bag of shit. For what it's worth, I'm glad his wife died of cancer. For she would surely be ashamed of his disgusting actions now.
Posted by Velociman at August 8, 2012 7:54 PM | TrackBackBut according to the Romney campaign, if Joe had been in Massachusetts, none of this would have happen, because RomneyCare!
Am I the only one seeing a pattern starting to develop?
Posted by: skippystalin at August 8, 2012 8:59 PMSkip, you're the last one to see anything.
Soptic is just your typical union stooge. You only get to see behind the curtain during election cycles, but they are a craven lot who will do anything to keep their hold on power, including elect this Indo-Kenyan minority hire. When the Klan turned bad, these were the guys who ran it.
Posted by: Casca at August 9, 2012 1:41 PMPerhaps, Casca. Or perhaps you're delusional and paranoid. In either event, that doesn't explain the Romney campaign's invocation of RomneyCare as a defence against the ad. Or Romney's praise of Israel's individual mandate. Or his pioneering one of his own in Massachusetts.
It would be cool for Romney win with a filibuster-proof Republican Senate just for you to learn that these people are playing you for an idiot about repealing and replacing a goddamned thing. The excuses they'll have will be endlessly entertaining.
And you know what? Folks like you will just nod your heads and defend them for blatantly lying to you. Because that's exactly what you did a decade ago.
Posted by: skippystalin at August 9, 2012 3:58 PMSkippy, I'm not sure the Romney campaign was wise to make that analogy, but 1) he can't run from RomneyCare, so he'd better embrace it, and 2) the constitution allows states to experiment with such things, while the federal government's powers are strictly enumerated to avoid one-size-fits-all demagoguery.
Besides, what does your point have to do with the fact that the Obama campaign and this guy lied their fucking asses off, amply displaying yet again their thoroughly corrupt nature? That's the goddamn point, and you are being a deliberate twit to avoid the fucking issue at hand. I believe sometimes you lack the courage to face inconvenient truths. But feel free to play "Look! A squirrel!" elsewhere. I won't complain.
Posted by: Velociman at August 9, 2012 6:11 PMOh, it was an undoubtedly sleazy ad. I didn't feel it necessary to point that out.
But as John Kerry learned the hard way, tripping on your dick in responding kills you more dead than even the original attack does. These things are important, particularly when running against an incumbent president.
By the way, if I'm playing "Look! A squirrel!" so is Ann Coulter, Erick Erickson and about half of the conservative movement. And that's another reason the response is more important than the charge: It reinforces the distrust of Romney from the primaries.
Posted by: skippystalin at August 9, 2012 7:31 PM"And that's another reason the response is more important than the charge" bullshit, you would honor lies with a response, when it is clear Obozo and company are liar's, thieves and not the kind of people you would trust with your dog much less a country.
Posted by: James Old Guy at August 9, 2012 7:44 PMIt's important to remember that skippy is a fucking canuck, and therefore only gets to vote for Obama twenty times in Chicago. As for anything else, he bloviates.
Posted by: Casca at August 10, 2012 1:31 AMFor the record, I consider myself more of a Gary Johnson man.
Posted by: skippystalin at August 10, 2012 11:10 AMCasca,
It seems to me that you've played this trick on multiple blogs other than my own, where you've pointed out my nationality and suggested that I'm some kind of Obama supporter with no evidence whatsoever.
Amazingly, I don't remember my citizenship being an issue when I spent a year saying that Bush would win in 2004 or when I openly supported McCain for two years in the last cycle.
Should I stay out of your politics? When I hear you whining about Lech Walesa endorsing candidates, I might take it under advisement.
Until then, I'll put my record of predictions and analysis against yours any day of the week, boy. And unlike you, I have a nine-year record of same that's more than easy to check.
Posted by: skippystalin at August 10, 2012 6:03 PMJames,
Let's see if you hold the same view when said " liar's, thieves and not the kind of people you would trust with your dog much less a country" actually win.
You can ignore a scuzzy attack if you're an already revered figure, like Dwight Eisenhower. But Mitt Romney isn't Ike, and even Ike never faced a 24-hour news cycle, a media that celebrates stupidity, or unlimited money.
Shit, I almost forgot. Eisenhower actually did respond to scuzzy attacks by throwing his hero, George Marshall under the bus and nearly dropping Nixon from the ticket.
I guess you're right then.
Posted by: skippystalin at August 10, 2012 6:11 PMWell, now that we've agreed on everything else, let's agree on who's picking up the tab. Anyone holding out with an EBT card? I take those.
Posted by: Velociman at August 10, 2012 8:03 PMSkippy is a delusional Canadian twit who for some strange reason desires to haunt conservative blogs. He lives for the conflict. He is a provocateur. I care not a whit about anything he may ever do, or say, or think. But after the revolution, we'll hang him if he comes down here.
