Do they still frag officers?

We'll continue to support the Army as long as we feel they can be trusted.

If they insist on promoting and retaining guys like this, that support will evaporate.

Ah, a Thought-Experiment. An all-too-rare exercise in this thinking man's Army.

Here's a dilemma, though: To prosecute this war (World War IV, by my lights) effectively, we need people who are fluent in Arabic. But many of those people are Muslim... which, alas, presents its own set of issues, given the nature of the war we are fighting.

Me, I think as soon as they saw this guy's Internet contacts, no matter how innocuous they thought everything was, they should have mustered his ass out of the Service. But hindsight is always 20:20, innit?

Hasan isn't a real officer. He's a fricken psychiatrist in the medical corps. Docs and rank are all bullshit. Most of the medical corps should be contracted out.

Casey is obviously a turd, and should have been bilged after his piss poor performance in Iraq. He has opened his mouth, and removed all doubt.
