Panty Waster

Here that knife:

knife.jpg

It says 440 steel, but I'm sure it must be 440A, not 440C, which means the blade will probably snap in two as soon as I attempt to saw through the femur of that drifter I unfortunately clipped in the Park. It were an accident, but why take a chance? He's keeping nicely in the back of the SUV, awaiting rendering unto a more interrable format.

And if it don't break, it could be just the thing for some Santa Thinks You've Been a Naughty Girl and Those Panties Have to Come Off Crimma Eve role playing. Just a thought.

Gerber is still made up here in Oregon. I've carried the dagger for decades, and you can still shave with it.

V-man, Merry Christmas to you...a lovely drawing.

Not only do I not shave my "nethers," but were I to, it would not be with that dang thing.

Buck knives are made in China?! Ew!

Posted by: Peggy U at December 26, 2007 9:55 PM

Just FYI, Buck Knives are now proudly made in Idaho, good ol' USA.

Their China interlude was but a temporary curative to keep production going while they un-assed El Cajon, CA for freedom in the frozen North.

Buck fled CA due to excessive taxes, over-regulation and other endless nanny-state bullshit from the Peoples' Republic of Kalifornistan.

If they do still have any wares coming in from the commie hordes, I'm thinkin' it'll be short-term influx, replaced with Idaho goodness, as soon as production ramps up to full capacity.

Oh, and Vman? NOT a good idea to feature razor sharp rapiers and yer danglies in the same post. Worse even, than running with scissors.

*shudder*

Well, I know for a fact that there is a Gerber factory just up the road apiece from me here in Oregon.

Posted by: Bane at December 28, 2007 4:22 PM

Jim: Seriously? Where in Idaho?

Posted by: Peggy U at December 29, 2007 1:58 PM

You are correct Bane. I had to call the company. Multitools and a few fixed blades are still USA made for GSA contracts. But 90% of their line is now china made.
