Rumination upon Vlad
I believe Count Dracula, Vlad Tepes, Vlad the Impaler, killed more Muslims than any other human being. For that I thank him, posthumously. I wish he were around today, to help level the playing field.
I also understand he had a collection of 24,000 noses cut from his vanquished. That's pretty sick. Never been a nose guy. But in my own way, I salute that, too.
You've been watching the History Channel too, heh? Which show - the underground living one or the one that was strictly about Dracula? Those underground tunnel shows creep me out. Imagine Paris sitting on top of all those tunnels and old quarries. How often do they have cave ins? And the catacombs .... gaaaahhhh!!! Millions of nameless bodies jumbled together over centuries, but each one was once a breathing person with family, friends, and maybe an interesting life. Makes my skin crawl.
