Not My Week

So after the milestone birfday I find out that as of 5 PM today I am the preening father of an official NFL cheerleader. A Jacksonville Jaguars Roar girl.

I'm proud of my daughter, my Emmy. I surely am. Brutal, brutal competition.

She's da Bomb.

I just want to know where I have to go to get my youth back!

Ain't happening, is it? That's okay. I'm very proud of my girl.

Good genes, bro. Good genes.

Congratulations, V-man.

oh, boy... it's puffy-chest time.
Congrats, Vman!!

Of course it's puffy-chest time. And you were expecting???

Posted by: Velociman at April 15, 2007 1:40 AM

That's wonderful, Vman, and with the likes of the preponderance of your readership, it was a wise choice not to post a picture of her. Smart Daddy!

Posted by: Chickie at April 15, 2007 8:09 AM

Good on ya.

There's nothing like Proud Daddy Syndrome. Enjoy.

And try not to thing of alla them middle-aged football fans drooling in their laps...

Cool Runnings!

Chickie, I've seen a picture of her...Killer!

Fact is, having kids like that makes being an old fart easier to deal with.

Plus, she brings her hot friends around.

See how easy it is to slide right into "dirty old man" from "perv"?

AWESOME!!!

Are the fathers issued sideline passes and large bats?

; )

Posted by: Chrissy at April 15, 2007 11:22 AM

Wow! Very cool! Congratulations.

Now about this "old" thing... snap out of it! You aren't older - you're better! Good grief... 20 somethings ain't got nuthin' on you! Mere children they are. *grin*

Congratulations...!!

So I guess your cheerleader leering days are over, then? :-)

Congrats!

Posted by: caltechgirl at April 15, 2007 1:53 PM

My cheerleader leering days just began. Heh...

Posted by: bitterman at April 15, 2007 4:00 PM

... yeah.... what bitterman said... season tickets, brother!... share the wealth!...

Posted by: Eric at April 15, 2007 9:55 PM

Thank God she got her mothers looks!

Posted by: ken at April 15, 2007 11:27 PM

Wow -- congratulations to Emmy! She's a cutie and if she's anywhere near as tough-skinned and sharp as her old man, she'll do well! Think the competition to get IN was rough? I understand it can be even worse once there. Ha -- was just talking to an old friend who suddenly finds himself father to one of the brighter lights of the new TV season -- equally gorgeous young lady who's suddenly all over the entertainment shit -- watching her being drooled over by rabid fans his own age is a mite disconcerting! Good luck to you both with that!

You are right to be proud! I looked up some of the photos from this year's competion and she is right to be proud, too. Some very lovely and nimble dancers auditioned. I like the their costumes too. Let us know when she gets her bio photos done and they update the team website!

Posted by: Rosie at April 16, 2007 9:45 AM

Wow....that's so exciting! Congrats to you and her!

Posted by: DogsDontPurr at April 16, 2007 3:20 PM

She on their website yet?

Posted by: sama at April 16, 2007 4:13 PM

Nice!

V-Man!

You must be very proud!

As you should be.

I'll try and keep my Old Man from droolin', but no promises here.

Heh. Heh.

Yes, the old man drools over cheerleaders....and ole GG here reaps the benies.

Just sayin'....

Posted by: Gina at April 17, 2007 12:02 AM

I love the benies.

Just one word shall sum that up = YUM.

Posted by: Gina at April 17, 2007 12:04 AM

Just sayin'....

Posted by: Gina at April 17, 2007 12:05 AM

Well done young man.
Congrats to you and your girl.

Posted by: keeskennis at April 17, 2007 1:51 AM

Awesome... I never could get on a professional field... no matter what what I wore. If you don't want to embarrass her at the games, you could always go incognito as say... Ellison.

Posted by: RedNeck at April 17, 2007 10:59 AM

Congrats! Hope she can hide any crazy she inherited from you.

Posted by: Ted at April 20, 2007 2:40 PM
