Apparently the cursive form of writing is dwindling. I can't say I'll miss it. I've been writing in block print for 25 years, mainly because I'm left handed, and my cursive always sucked anyway. It's hard to break right on your handwriting when you're left-handed. Plus, cursive's kinda gay. Show me a guy with pretty penmanship and I'll call him Felch.
Via that Instafellow.
Cursive is really dieing out, i thought it was used by people who need to write alot in their jobs. I personaly don't write in cursive because i write faster in print. But Velociman, you know the 411. And if you watch the news, some plane crashed into a building on 72nd street in new york city. My cousin lives two blocks away, you can see the place where the plane hit. It took me 4 hours to get home from the bronx, this sucks.
Posted by: eric at October 11, 2006 4:48 PMI still write a lot for notes/exams/etc at university, but I print much more than actual writing. I've always been more of a printer.

Posted by: Eric at October 11, 2006 9:22 PMWhat sucks most, is that I spent three years in penmanship classes. When I think of all the squirels I could have shot in that time, which I instead wasted writing cursive, it makes me want to dg up Mrs May and skullfuck her rotting corpse.
Sorry- out loud again? damn.
Posted by: og at October 11, 2006 10:39 PMI can't remember the last time I wrote anything in cursive, except my signature. I have the same reason, being a southpaw. Plus, in my business, block printing fits mo bettah.
Posted by: Dash at October 12, 2006 12:45 AMI can write cursive or I can print cursive and sweetthing allows I talk to damn much cursive
Posted by: GUYK at October 12, 2006 7:45 AMLearning cursive is a form of discipline for most children, and we wonder why our educators struggle with teaching kids today. I hate it that most teachers think that it's a useless learning tool. I don't think there's anything lovelier than receiving a nicely written letter or thank-you note, especially from children. Call me old-fashioned, but I write in cursive only.
Posted by: Belinda at October 14, 2006 11:33 PMI switched to printing when I realized I was just as fast with it as cursive writing, plus measurably more legible. Meanwhile my signature has become completely stylized.
Cursive was meant for use with quill pens, and...yknow, we haven't been using those for some time now...
Posted by: Desert Cat at October 15, 2006 1:09 AMCursive writing? I can write "fuck" just as easily with a pen as with a keyboard...
