Anyone know what to do with 52 softball-sized lemons?
I could pull out the juicer, but when life hands you lemons, what do you make?
Vodka and tonics, of course.
Make mine something close to a Brown Derby:
whiskey
lemon juice (supposed to be grapefruit)
honey
There may already be a name for this, but if there is I don't know it. With snow on the way, I'm ready to drink it though.
Posted by: Chai-rista at December 3, 2005 3:20 PMIf they are Meyer Lemons, you could sell them. I get approx $2.00 a piece for them, and I have a waiting list a mile long. Or, you could make the best sidecar ever:
Equal parts Courvosier and Coointreau
Squeeze of half a lemon
Shake with ice in a shaker
Pour into a martini glass and drink.
Adjust amounts of each liquid to taste. Sometimes the lemons are so sweet that you can use less Coointreau, or sometimes you might like more Courvosier, etc.
Enjoy!

nah...on second thought, the vodka and tonics sound much better....
five more days until the end of exams and I'm gonna be drinking PLENTY of vodka next weekend...
Bombay Saphire, and a zap of that excelent lemon!
