I've been catching a fair amount of shit over my affection for Grey Goose vodka. So be it. I run a public forum here, primarily because I need the fodder to prove myself infallible.
For the record, here are other things French I like:
The French kiss
The French twist
The Foreign Legion
The French Tickler
The French Connection (Hackman fan)
The Velociphallus Eiffel Tower
The Citroën
Le Tour de France
Edith Piaf
The seine net
Champagne
The shameless consumption of horseflesh in Marseilles
Uncle? Cry uncle, damn it.
OMG -- my folks had 2 Citroens back in the late 60's, early 70's. Most comfortable car to ride in EVER! Look a little odd when Dad turned it on and that hydraulic suspension lifted first one end, then the other, but it was like riding on a cloud!
How about ham, wonderful cheese, fresh, ripe tomatoes and REAL (made in France for French palates) mustard on a fresh baguette eaten on a bench in the shade of the plane trees @ the Luxembourg Gardens?
Or a mango ice or a chocolate crepe from a street vendor? Or piles of fresh cherries & peaches at the sidewalk fruit stands?
Wine.
Sacre Coeur.
La Chapelle.
Notre Dane de Fouvier.
Poppies.
Lavender.
Mmmmm
Whoops.
Notre DAME de Fouvier. DUUH.
It's okay v-man, i like gray goose too, altho i can't say i care for horseflesh; had that in japan and the only reason i ate it was coz it was the only thing on the table that was cooked!

Posted by: Acidman at March 11, 2005 10:47 AMI hear they've gotten quite good at making white flags, if you're ever in the market for such an item.
