Hewlett Packard Blows Them Peccaries
I bought a scanner today at Best Buy, so I could memorialize some old photos. No big, right? Wrong. Number One, Best Buy sucks in the customer service venue. Number Two, HP sucks mule dicks. I attempted to download the software to this scanner, only to hit the wall at 98% completion. New computer, running XP. Shouldn't happen. But I hit the wall. Now I can't uninstall what downloaded, or reinstall the software. Fucking hell.
Another trip over the river tomorrow to return this horseshit product. It's fucked up, I tell you. Fucked up product. I found an old HP calculator in my chiffonier, and smashed it. Fuck HP. To hell. I'm upset.
goddamn fucked up HP anyways. those fuckers oughta be taken out back and shot. fucking waste of time if you ask me.

The last time I went to my local Best Buy, the store manager called the police on me and my Doctor was in line with me at customer servive, behind me, Dr Hogan saved my ass. If I ever catch that little manager outside of his store, I will kick his ass so bad, his own fucking mama will not know him, fuck him and his stores, and fuck HP also.
Posted by: Catfish at January 29, 2005 11:17 PMIt probably used to be a COMPAQ scanner Vman. Usually, I don't have much trouble with HP stuff, it damned near installs itself, however, I must admit, I may not be as Velocichallenged as you are. I don't read "every" word of the directions...
Epson makes good stuff.
The last HP Scanner I used that was any good was their S-20 which is a small photo scanner from about four years ago. Their large-format printers are decent but all of their consumer peripheral products are junk... (and I'm using VueScan from http://www.hamrick.com and _not_ HPs drivers)
The local Costco just stopped selling Epson printers and now only carry HP which really chaps my ass -- no comparison...

With factory rebate, (at Office Depot), it cost all of $99.00 and gives me excellent color. Also, the one time I had an installation problem, their tech support was outstanding.
