Anyone interested in joining Velociman for the Daytona 500? Or the qualifiers? Rob? I am interested in attending a sporting event where the ambient smell approximates my skid-marked boxers. Just a thought.
Posted by Velociman at January 16, 2005 2:20 AMYou haven't yet outgrown skid marks? Crikey...how can anyone pass that type of company up...
Posted by: Sadie at January 16, 2005 5:43 AMJesus, man. You've got the Falcons playing in Jacksonville in the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks. You won't even have to leave town for that smell.
Show up for DBT at the 40 Watt and that venue at about 2:30am will give you all of the olfactory thrills you can fathom.
Posted by: rankin' rob at January 16, 2005 9:58 AMI'd attend Vman, but I am, how you say, geographically challenged... my number is 8 bu the way, it used to be 3. I think you get my meanin'.
The smell. Would that be inside the track or outside, say in the campgrounds.
Posted by: Steve at January 19, 2005 3:37 PMBikes or cars? No "stock" car racing for me. The motorcycle road race is cool, as is SCCA showroom stock, but NASCAR is the professional wrestling of motor sports. Say, how about paying our way to the next Manx TT? That's a real race, on real roads, for real men, with real death. I mean it. No silly Bill France marketing horseshit.
Real race fans bring stopwatches and lap charts.
