Anna is on hiatus, which destroys me personally, just because I care so deeply about her.
Anna has Been to the Mountain, and has some needs of her own to fulfill, love her.
Take your time, dear. Think, wish, help, heal. We will always be here for you. When you feel the desire to reengage, if you ever do, we are here. If not, you have given us a great gift, which will not be squandered.
That I can promise you.
Not to change topics and get random on Ms. Anna's turf, but how does this "great gift" compare to--let's say--a shotglass full of your "allegedly" spunky gift?
Just, ya know, wondering....for proper context and all that.
Posted by: Sadie at November 24, 2004 1:11 AMI feel exactly as you do, V-man.
Posted by: Margi at November 24, 2004 2:57 AMShe closed the comments on that one. This is serious.
I mourn til January. (...then I start bugging the shit out of her!)
Posted by: Key at November 24, 2004 12:16 PMI know, I know. I saw that last night, and quite literally shed a tear. I love that woman. She's a myth, a legend. She sent me special soap when I had hives. It doesn't get any better than that, man.
We'll miss you, Anna. No shit.
Posted by: Kelley at November 24, 2004 12:47 PMOH GAWD the soap! Tell me we can still order the soap...
Posted by: Key at November 24, 2004 2:15 PMAnna was one of the first - besides the glory that is my blogmother, of course - to speak well of me. I will always feel indebted to her for this small thing, as well as for the two years of wonderfully twisted shit she poured out on the digital page. Her passing from the blogworld should be marked with a modicum, at least a shot-glass full, of gravity. I'll miss her very much.
Posted by: Queenie at November 24, 2004 6:50 PMMy sentiments exactly Queenie...except the "passing" part. I can't allow myself to believe that the mother of my little angel isn't coming back one day.
If she's not going to capitalize on that wit by getting on Sat. Nite Live payroll, the least she can do is occasionally share it with us.
Meanwhile...we can still smell like her.
Posted by: Key at November 24, 2004 8:42 PMOr, in my fantasies, smell her. We miss you, Anna.
Posted by: Velociman at November 24, 2004 8:48 PMI agree with Queenie, Sadie, in that that comment did seem a bit lacking in taste.
I'm a "quiet" reader in that I comment very rarely, but I log on every few days and read every word. I always follow the links to Anna's and have enjoyed her immensely. Her absence is absolutely devastating!
It's about her, so I won't use this block to attack someone else, and, Sadie, maybe you could do the same. Just this once, why don't you let it be about someone else?
We'll miss you Anna. Hurry back. Please...
