Michele has a groovy post on ghost stories and urban legends we remember as children.
The scariest ghost story for me was the Chicken-Footed Lady. I'll save that for Halloween night.
The next scariest for me was The Girl Who Ended Up Having A Penis! Yarrrgghhh!
Oh, wait. That may have been a true story. Let me reconfigure the memory banks. I might have to retract that one, and file under Unfortunately True.
Kenny Terrell scared the crap outta me with the tale of the chicken-footed lady. From what I hear, you put a spin on it that makes Kenny's version seem like a Pixar/Disney Saturday afternoon at the movies.
I love it!
Posted by: Robin at October 11, 2004 5:25 PMMy Grandmama, and Aunt Mable(sisters) used to scare the hell out of us kids, at the time, by telling us a story of some"thing" called RawHead & BloodyBones. He supposedly lived under the bridge that ran across the creek down the road at their house.
Back then, it scared the crap out of us, now, I look back and I think they wanted us to stay away from the bridge.
