BACK TO MAKER'S MARK

Blackfive advises that criminal liquor fiend Jack Daniels is watering down Old No. 7 from 86 proof down to 80 proof. Bastards! If this wussy-assed trend continues we're liable to see Wild Turkey 98 proof, or Captain Morgan 12 proof ere long.

They have watered down Wild Turkey. They make an 80 Proof now. I almost made that crucial error one day. I was shopping for price. I didn't even dream Wild Turkey was anything other than 101. I guess things are tough all over. Just Damn!

Yes, Dax, I'm aware of the 80 proof Turkey, but that is actually just Wild Turkey With Training Wheels for the 12 to 17 year old crowd.

I used to drink Wild Turkey until I learned that its parent company is French. Maker's Mark for me, or the single barrel stuff like Blanton's. Hell, I also like Jim Beam, an old standby.

I like the stuff called George Dickel, it is very good, Cat.

Elijah Craig is my whuskey of choice, particularly when Jungle Jim's puts it on sale.

Maker's Mark is really good as is Knob Creek but my favorite is the single barrel batch of Booker Noe...
