BIG JOHN

John Ashcroft spoke today across the street at the Omni. It was part of his Patriot Act Monsters of Suppression World Tour 2003. It was closed to the public, naturally, but I went over anyway. Guess what? No tour jackets. Damn.

I like old John, I think he gets a bum rap from pussies who are too scared to take on a REAL Taliban, but what's with the barbershop quartet bullshit? Hard to trust a man who'll croon Sweet Adeline in a striped jacket with three other men.

UPDATE: You know, I was going to leave it at that, but the more I think of the scurrilous bullshit heaped on this man the more pissed I get. I'm not an Ashcroft fanatic, and I think he's probably a tight ass, but I'll guarantee my old man made him look like John Phillips in the fatherhood department.

In the Baltimore debates John Kerry said

"I see before me people of every creed, every color, every belief, every religion. This is indeed John Ashcroft's worst nightmare here."

Where the fuck does this guy get off with that comment? As a matter of fact, Ashcroft is an Assemblies of God parishioner, which has only 1.5 million members in the US, but has 40 million members in Africa and Asia.

If I were Ashcroft I would have called Kerry out in the street on that one. I would have ripped that twat a new asshole. And reminded everyone that of the two of them Kerry's the only one who's killed minorities. Hey, Kerry loves to brag about his Vietnam service, let Ashcroft ask him how many Indochinese pelts he bagged. Then ask him how many of those were women and children.

Fuck John Kerry.

And where can I get a Monsters of Suppression tour jacket?

Agreed. And to think we elected that guy over Bill Weld (bad as he is). No republican even bothered to run against him last year. There was a libertarian on the ballot though, and I voted for him. He got something like 15% of the vote without even campaigning.

I'm wondering what the demographics of Velociworld are considering more people felt like responding to ice cube enemas than coming to the defense our much maligned Attorney General. Personally, I've always preferred Ice T to Ice Cube when it comes to LA Old School Gangsta Rap, although 'Cube was excellent in "Three Kings."

Ashcroft has done an excellent job under difficult circumstances, which is more than I expected of him going into his tenure. And as of yet he hasn't burned any women and children alive, unlike his predecessor. Agreed on the barber shop quartet thing, but we all have our eccentricities.
