STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD

and elucidate some original thoughts. That's my problem. I don't spend enough time at this for my writing to be worthwhile, and yet I spend more time on it than I feel is healthy. My interests have dwindled. I used to come home from work and do 20 miles on the bike. Now I do 20 Marlboro Lights at the keyboard. I haven't swung a glof club in six months.

Maybe a Bleat style one-up post a night would work. IF I have something worthwhile to say. I'll check jackstraw's comments to see if I indeed had a worthwhile comment that day, just to be safe.

Keep on writing.

I keep reading it, don't I??

I've been reading a William Maxwell book, They Came Like Swallows. Couldn't you have a little fun with THAT title??

Just be glad you haven't been banned from this site.

I spend *way* too much time doing this crap. Working out is becoming a time constraint, and like you, I'm smokin' too much.

Unfortunately, I like it too much to give it up!

joke Anyway, if you're hurtin' for material, we could always stage a big intra-blog fight. That seems to git ever'body all riled up! (including me ::sheepish embarrasment::) We could get quite lyrical in our insults, and crest in a comment flame war with us being friends again as a denoument...it would be fun... ;P /joke

We could always exchange three word phrases as a means of nudging the muse....let me know if you're up for it.

I haven't swung a golf club is so long I apparently can't even spell it. I'll leave up "glof", though. It describes my game.

I recommend smoking over golf. It's more attractive.
